Camping vacations are relatively inexpensive. You don’t need to pay hotel fees, purchase souvenirs or buy food at expensive restaurants to go camping. Most camping sites have everything you need in one location. There are tons of outdoor activities to take advantage of, the cost for lodging is fairly cost-effective, and families are able to bring their own food so they don’t have to pay for restaurants.

Local Attractions

Families rarely take advantage of the local attractions right in their own backyard. Chances are there are some local attractions that are close to your home that your family hasn’t had the opportunity to visit. With a little planning and the ability to find fairly cheap hotels, you can take your family on a local vacation without having to break you family’s budget.

Just because the economy is rough does not mean that you and your family have to nix the family vacation from your budget. Instead, with a little planning and flexibility you will be able to enjoy a nice family vacation while staying within your budget.
